Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester partners with Preston City Mela.

Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester has announced an exclusive partnership with Preston City Mela, a vibrant festival celebrating South Asian culture, arts, music, dance, and heritage. This year’s Mela will take place on Saturday, July 6th, from 11 AM to 5 PM at Moor Park.

The event promises a day filled with diverse cultural performances, colourful displays, and a rich showcase of South Asian traditions. Attendees can look forward to an array of activities, including live music, traditional dance performances, art exhibitions, and much more. It’s an excellent opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the rich tapestry of South Asian heritage.

Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester presenter Jazzy J (Sundays at 19:00) will be hosting the event, adding his unique flair and energy to the day’s proceedings. Their presence will enhance the festival atmosphere, ensuring that both attendees and those tuning in from afar will have an unforgettable experience.

Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester is the new name for Asian Sound Radio, which was acquired by the Lyca Group in December 2023. It was rebranded to Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester in April 2024. It is available on 1377AM and 963AM, plus DAB and online.
