Dharma Productions distances itself from Pratik Shah over “inappropriate behaviour” accusations

Dharma Productions has formally distanced itself from cinematographer Pratik Shah following allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

Shah collaborated with the production house on the film Homebound. In light of the accusations, Shah, who recently appeared at the Cannes Film Festival alongside the Homebound team, has since deactivated his Instagram account.

The claims were brought to public attention by filmmaker Abhinav Singh, who stated via Instagram that over 20 women had come forward with allegations against Shah. These reportedly include soliciting nude images and sending unsolicited explicit messages. Singh referred to Shah as a “predator” based on the testimonies he received.

In response, Dharma Productions issued a statement, “At Dharma Productions, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards inappropriate behaviour and sexual harassment involving anyone associated with us in any capacity. We take such matters with the utmost seriousness.”
