Karan Tacker to make his Cannes debut with Anupam Kher’s ‘Tanvi: The Great’
Actor Karan Tacker is set to make his Cannes Film Festival debut with a special appearance in ‘Tanvi: The Great’, directed by veteran actor Anupam Kher.
The film will be screened at the prestigious festival, marking a significant moment in Tacker’s career as he transitions further into global cinema.
In the film, Tacker plays Captain Samar Raina, a character he describes as emotionally demanding and creatively fulfilling. Known for his acclaimed performances in digital series, this role adds to Tacker’s growing body of work in more cinematic storytelling.

‘Tanvi: The Great’ also marks Anupam Kher’s return to directing after two decades and is produced by Anupam Kher Studio in association with NFDC and Lower Middle Class Corporation. The script is co-written by Kher, Ankur Suman, and Abhishek Dixit.
Tacker, who recently wrapped up shooting for Prime Video’s thriller series ‘Bhay’ in London, expressed gratitude for his Cannes debut, calling it a “culmination of years of quiet hustle.”
