Lyca Productions & Mahaveer Jain Films announce global partnership to produce nine films

Lyca Group’s film production division, Lyca Productions, has announced a strategic partnership with Mahaveer Jain to develop nine impactful films over the next three years.

Lyca Productions, the filmmaking arm of the UK- and Europe-based Lyca Group, has earned a reputation for high-profile projects such as ‘Robot 2.0’, starring Rajinikanth, and Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan I & II’. Now, the studio is joining forces with Mahaveer Jain Films, the banner behind ‘Uunchai’, which was produced in association with Rajshri Productions.

The announcement follows a key meeting between Lyca Group Chairman Dr. Allirajah Subaskaran (pictured), producer Mahaveer Jain, and prominent government officials, including Information & Broadcasting Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, and Minister of State for I&B Dr. L. Murugan.

In a joint statement, Subaskaran and Jain commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership, describing this as the “perfect time” to bring India’s rich cultural heritage, philosophies, and stories to a global audience through powerful cinematic storytelling. “These films are our humble tribute to Hon’ble PM Modi, who continues to work tirelessly to make India and the world a better place for future generations,” they stated.

Lyca Group is a global conglomerate with diverse operations across telecommunications, healthcare, travel, media, and entertainment, including its leading radio brand, Lyca Radio.
