The popular action-comedy ‘Singh Is Kinng’, originally starring Akshay Kumar, is reportedly set for a sequel.
Rumours suggest that 15 years after the original’s release, ‘Singh Is Kinng 2’ is now in development. In an interview with Mid-Day, filmmaker Shailendra Singh shared that he had previously gifted the title to Akshay Kumar, but after recognizing the potential for a sequel, he requested the rights back.
“I have initiated the process for ‘Singh Is Kinng 2’ and plan to start production in October 2025, aiming for a 2026 release,” he said.
Ranveer Singh is Shailendra’s first choice for the lead role, as his lively energy and charisma make him ideal for the part. However, should Ranveer be unavailable, Diljit Dosanjh is the second top contender for the role.
