In an unexpected turn of events, Adrija Roy has taken over the role of Raahi from Alisha Parveen in Star Plus’ flagship show ‘Anupamaa’. Roy, a seasoned actress, joins the cast as one of the leads alongside Rupali Ganguly in the popular drama.
Expressing her surprise and disappointment at the sudden replacement, Parveen shared her thoughts with E-Times. “It is shocking and disappointing. I am not sure what exactly happened or why I am being replaced. Today was my last day on the set of Anupamaa. It was a fantastic opportunity, and the audience loved my chemistry with Shivam Khajuria. But I have no clue why this decision was made.”
Parveen also acknowledged that such abrupt changes are common in the television industry. “I had a meeting yesterday where I was informed of the decision. I’m completely in the dark about the reasons, but these things happen. I will now shift my focus to future projects,” she added.
