Television actor Vikas Sethi, known for his roles in iconic serials such as ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ and ‘Kahiin To Hoga’, has tragically passed away in his sleep at the age of 48.
The actor was later taken to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai.
In a conversation with Times of India, actress Delnaaz Irani, who had recently worked with Vikas, shared her shock and sadness. “I just found out from a friend that Vikas is no longer with us. It’s extremely shocking and heartbreaking,” Delnaaz said. “I’ve known him since 2008 when we participated in the dance show ‘Zara Nachke Dikha’. We lost touch over the years but reconnected just three months ago while filming a commercial together.”
Reflecting on their recent reunion, she added, “We were so happy to meet again after so long. I even met his wife during that time. He seemed perfectly fine to me, which is why this news is so devastating. I still don’t know the cause of his passing, but my heart goes out to his family during this difficult time. Life is incredibly unpredictable.”
Vikas Sethi was a familiar face on Indian television, having featured in popular shows like ‘Kasautii Zindagi Kay’, ‘K Street Pali Hill’, ‘Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivah’, ‘Gustakh Dil’, ‘Uttaran’, ‘Geet Hui Sabse Parayee’, and ‘Darr Sabko Lagta Hai’. More recently, he was seen in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ and ‘Yeh Vaada Raha’.
In addition to his TV career, Vikas appeared in several Bollywood films, including ‘Deewaanapan’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Oops!’, ‘Modh’, and ‘iSmart Shankar’.
