‘Vedaa’ makers urge CBFC to clear film’s release for August

John Abraham and Sharvari’s highly anticipated film ‘Vedaa’ is facing further delays due to an unresolved issue with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

On Thursday, the film’s producers issued a strongly worded statement highlighting the urgency of the situation and calling on the CBFC to expedite the certification process to avoid derailing the film’s release schedule.

The statement read, “We, the producers of ‘Vedaa’, must inform our fans and supporters that despite our persistent efforts, we have not yet received clearance and certification from the CBFC of India.”

The film was submitted for review eight weeks prior to its planned release. The production house hosted a screening on 25th June, followed by an appeal to the examining committee. However, no updates or responses regarding the certification status have been received since then.

The statement also conveyed the producers’ desire for a swift resolution, “We earnestly request that our appeal reaches those who can assist in breaking this deadlock and expedite the certification process for our film.”
