Aamir Khan exploring plans to release ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ on YouTube after cinemas

Aamir Khan is reportedly exploring an unconventional release strategy for his upcoming film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, potentially bypassing traditional OTT platforms like Netflix or Prime Video in favour of a pay-per-view release on YouTube.

According to reports, the film may become available on YouTube behind a paywall around eight weeks after its theatrical debut on 20th June 2025, marking a significant departure from the standard digital release model.

A source close to the project revealed, “Aamir has always embraced innovation—not just in storytelling but also in how films reach audiences. He wants ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ to be widely accessible, without requiring viewers to subscribe to a specific streaming platform. This could be a real game-changer.”
