Lyca Radio celebrates Madhuri Dixit’s 40th anniversary in Indian cinema

Lyca Radio Network has announced an exciting special feature to celebrate the 40th anniversary of superstar Madhuri Dixit’s illustrious career in the Indian film industry. The celebration will span across Lyca Radio, Lyca Gold, and Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester, offering fans a nostalgic trip through the actress’ most memorable songs and films.

As part of the celebration, Lyca Radio Network will dedicate an entire weekend to Madhuri Dixit, airing her iconic songs every hour. This musical tribute is sponsored by Southall Travel, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere. It takes place between 10th-11th August 2024, the same day Dixit’s debut film ‘Abodh’ released.

In addition to the musical homage, the broadcaster is searching for a Madhuri Dixit ‘super fan’ to visit the studio and discuss the actress’ most memorable films and songs. The weekend will also feature a live on-air quiz, allowing other Dixit fans to participate and share their passion for the legendary actress.

Raj Baddhan, CEO of Lyca Radio Network, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Madhuri Dixit is an iconic figure in the Indian film industry, and we are thrilled to celebrate her remarkable 40-year journey with a dedicated weekend of her greatest hits across the Lyca Radio Network. We also invite Madhuri Dixit fans to connect with us and share their cherished memories of this exceptionally talented actress. We extend our gratitude to Southall Travel for supporting this special celebration. A huge thanks to Southall Travel for supporting the big weekend!”
