Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester refreshes weekend line-up

Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester, which has rapidly made a significant impact in the North West of England since its launch, is set to revolutionise its weekend programming. The station has announced a major schedule overhaul that aims to transform the UK Asian radio scene, starting from Saturday 27th July.

Building on its high-quality output and innovative networking with Lyca Radio – Greater London, Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester will become the first commercial Asian radio station to network not only with Lyca Radio – Greater London but also with the UK’s first and only retro Asian music station, Lyca Gold.

As part of this transformation, two presenters from Lyca Gold will join the Greater Manchester lineup. Ritu Sharma will host her show at 10:00 AM on weekends, while Sandy Shah will take the 7:00 PM slot. Additionally, the station is excited to welcome back popular voice Rubina Khan, a staple from Asian Sound Radio. This marks Khan’s debut on Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester, where she will present from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on weekends.

Raj Baddhan, CEO of Lyca Radio Network, expressed his enthusiasm about the changes, stating, “I am very excited to bring a revolution to UK Asian commercial radio with our new station Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester to broadcast shows from Lyca Radio and Lyca Gold in Greater London, as well as prominent voices locally for the Manchester audience. We’re putting in all our might into Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester to revive Asian radio in the UK. Innovative content, innovative networking, and top broadcasters – that is what we believe in! Our listeners are in for a treat.”

With this new lineup, Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester is poised to offer an unprecedented listening experience, combining innovative content with the best of both local and national talent. The station’s commitment to quality and creativity continues to set it apart as a leader in the UK Asian radio market.
