Akshay Kumar votes in India elections for first time since obtaining citizenship

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has cast his vote for the first time in India after obtaining Indian citizenship last year. Previously holding Canadian citizenship, the actor was seen participating in the democratic process at a designated polling booth.

Akshay proudly flaunted his indelible ink-stained finger, a mark of his participation, and shared his enthusiasm in a video that quickly went viral online. Speaking in Hindi, he expressed, “I want my India to be developed and strong. I voted, keeping that in mind. India should vote for what it deems right… I think voter turnout will be good (in Mumbai).”

When asked about his experience of voting for the first time after becoming an Indian citizen, Akshay beamed with pride, saying, “This is great! I am feeling very good!” His remarks and visible excitement have inspired many, highlighting the importance of civic duty and national pride.
