Mumbai police arrest alleged suspect in Salman Khan’s house firing case

Mumbai police have apprehended a suspect in connection with an alleged plot to assassinate Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, as reported by PTI.

The individual, identified as Sukha, was arrested in Panipat, Haryana, on Wednesday and will be presented before a court on Thursday after being transferred to Mumbai, police officials have confirmed.

The investigation revealed that the conspiracy to target Khan dates back to June this year, during which police uncovered plans to attack the actor while he was traveling to his farmhouse near Panvel. This plot is believed to be linked to a previous shooting incident outside Khan’s Bandra residence in April 2024.

Salman Khan himself has expressed concerns about his safety, attributing the threats to the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He had conveyed these fears to law enforcement authorities, extending his concerns to the safety of his family as well.
