Six years after Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt lit up the silver screen in ‘Gully Boy’, buzz about a sequel is gaining momentum. The much-loved original, directed by Zoya Akhtar, became a cultural phenomenon, and now fans are eagerly awaiting the next chapter.
According to Filmfare, the sequel will reportedly star Vicky Kaushal and Ananya Panday in leading roles. A source revealed, “Arjun Varain Singh, who helmed Kho Gaye Hum Kahan for Excel and Tiger Baby, is set to direct the Gully Boy sequel. He’s confident that Ananya, who starred in his previous project, is the perfect fit to lead the film. Vicky has been associated with the sequel for a while now. Let’s see if these three can come together to recreate the magic of Gully Boy.”
It remains unclear whether any cast members from the original will reprise their roles in the upcoming project.
