Sharmin Segal responds to criticism of her role in ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’

Sharmin Segal has addressed the criticism she faced for her performance in uncle Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s series, ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.’ The actress came under fire for what many viewers deemed poor acting in her portrayal of Alamzeb. Critics and online trolls alike remarked on her lack of facial expressions and the uniformity of her performance across different scenes.

In response to the backlash, Segal expressed her gratitude for the visibility and recognition she has gained. “At the end of the day, I am just thankful for the fact that people are noticing me,” she said. “There’s positive, there’s negative, there’s a whole bunch of stuff that goes with the fact that one is being noticed, and I am just grateful that I got this opportunity to be able to put my craft out there for people to see.”
