Shah Rukh Khan cancels London event due to India-Pakistan tensions

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan cancelled a scheduled event this week that was set to unveil a bronze statue of himself and co-star Kajol from the iconic film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (1995) in Leicester Square.

Khan was expected to make a brief stop in the British capital on his return journey from his debut appearance at the Met Gala in New York. However, the event was called off due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan in the wake of Operation Sindoor.

Although Khan was already in London at the time, he is believed to have postponed the ceremony out of respect for the unfolding situation. The actor returned to Mumbai late on Thursday evening.
