London’s key Asian radio stations, Lyca Radio and Lyca Gold have hailed this year’s Navratri programming and outdoor events a “huge success” after its association with its sponsors Tilda and Star Tours.
The popular Asian radio stations, which broadcast across Greater London, tied-up with over 11 Hindu communities, plus extras on Dussehra and Sharad Purnima. Coverage included various presenters attending each event, with live updates on each station.
It kicked off on Day One of Navratri with a visit to International Siddhasram Shakti Centre on Monday 26th September, followed by Navrangi Navratri (Wembley) on Tuesday 27th September, Sattavis Gam Patidar on Wednesday 28th September, Baavis Gam Patidar Samaj on Thursday 29th September, South East Gujarati Association and SSPC on Friday 30th September, Navratri Bash 22 London Dreamz and Yellow Sapphire on Saturday 1st October, Kalani Sewa Navratri on Sunday 2nd October, SKLP on Monday 3rd October, Santvani Dreams Unlimited Event on Tuesday 4th October and Dhamecha Community on Saturday 8th October.
As like last year, Lyca Radio broadcast a one-hour Navratri Hour special from 19:00 – 20:00 every night during Navratri. Similarly, Lyca Gold aired a retro Navratri special from 09:00 – 10:00.
Raj Baddhan, CEO of Lyca Media said, “This year, Lyca Radio and Lyca Gold pulled out all the stops to ensure Navratri was the biggest ever! We wanted to represent various Hindu communities and be associated across all parts of Greater London. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our sponsors Tilda and Star Tours that were with us during this journey. A special thanks to my team, in particular Alka Shah who co-ordinated this year’s Navratri diary with community leaders.”
Upon attending the Navratri events, Lyca Radio and Lyca Gold management and presenters gave away special prizes to members of the public in attendance. Plus, the team took part in special prayers and aarti each night.
