‘Saru’ to replace ‘Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye’ on ZEE TV later this month

ZEE TV has officially announced that ‘Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye’ will conclude this month, making way for its new primetime series, ‘Saru’.

Starting Monday, 12th May, ‘Saru’ will take over the primetime slot. The show follows the inspiring journey of a young woman from rural Rajasthan who dreams of pursuing higher education and building a better future for herself. It explores the emotional and societal challenges of leaving a small town to chase ambitions in the city.

The title character, Saru, is portrayed by Mohak Matkar, who previously appeared in ‘Hamara Parivar’ on ZEE TV. Saru is depicted as a Kabaddi champion with aspirations of becoming a district commissioner. Despite her confidence and independence, she remains deeply connected to her values and traditions.

Speaking about her role, Mohak Matkar shared her excitement, stating, “Having been part of ZEE TV with ‘Hamara Parivar’, I am thrilled to take on the lead role in such a powerful show like ‘Saru’. When I was approached for the project, it felt like a dream come true. From the mock shoot to our outdoor filming in Udaipur, every moment with the team has been truly rewarding. We’ve collaborated and refined every detail, making the experience exceptional so far.”

She further expressed her admiration for her character, saying, “What I love most about Saru is her determination to become a self-made woman. Her passion for education, her eagerness to learn, and her drive for success are incredibly inspiring. That’s why she dreams of moving to Mumbai—to carve out a better future for herself. Saru is simple yet ambitious, eager to explore the world while staying rooted in her heritage. I also adore her look in the show and cannot wait for audiences to see her story unfold.”

The show is produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions Pvt. Ltd.
