Ekta Kapoor confirms return of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ reboot
Ekta Kapoor has officially announced the revival of the iconic series ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’.
The show, set to air on Star Plus, will return for a limited run of 150 episodes. Kapoor explained that this decision was driven by the fact that the series originally fell short of 150 episodes before reaching the milestone of 2000 episodes back in 2008. She remarked, “The love we have for this programme brought everyone connected to it back together to complete those remaining 150 episodes to hit the 2000-episode mark. This show truly deserves it.”

Kapoor also teased the return of Smriti Irani in her beloved role as Tulsi Virani. Referring to the character, Kapoor said, “We are blending politics with entertainment—or better yet, bringing a politician into entertainment.” Amar Upadhyay is also expected to reprise his role as Mihir.
